Having rewatched the first Harry Potter movie and moved onto the second, I'm struck by a few things:

1) The movies are far better having read the books, because while both the movies and books are flawed, it is easier to accept the flaws of the movies because the books give you more reason to enjoy the story as a whole.

2) It's annoying that Harry only has lenses in his glasses in the movies when they are broken.

3) While I love Kenneth Branagh as an actor, I always envisioned Gilderoy Lockhart as a big hulking idiot, like Captain Qwark of the Ratchet and Clank series.
